Meet our team
Dr. Richa Love
Founder & CEO, MD, CCFP
Created by Dr. Richa Love, a prominent cannabis physician, industry leader and speaker, CannU Educational Services exists to fill the large gap in cannabis education for medical and novice users.
When Dr. Love went looking for education for her patients, she quickly realized that the majority of cannabis education available was directed towards three main areas: cultivation, cannabis business, and medical professionals.
Dr. Love has worked with thousands of patients at Harvest Medicine Clinic in Calgary, Alberta, and she understands that there is a self-discovery process that the cannabis user must go through in order to understand how cannabis can help them.
“Pharmaceuticals are deigned for one dose fits all irrespective of gender, race, body composition, health conditions etc. Plant based medicine is very specific and individualized and what works for one person will not be what works for someone else. So each person has to do some work to find what works for their body and at CannU we are here to help that process.”
CannU continues Dr. Love's patient advocacy work with valuable lessons, tips, tricks and best practices for cannabis use.
Executive Director, Cannabis Educator
Jeananne Laing is a Cannabis Educator and Registered Herbalist (AHA).
Jeananne’s interest in the medicinal use of cannabis and other plants began at an early age, and in 2016, after involvement in the herbal industry for over 15 years, the time was right to focus on helping people understand and utilize cannabis as part of their health care protocol.
After completing the Clinical Cannabinoid Medicine program at TMCI Global and The Medical Cannabis Institute Jeananne began working at Harvest Medicine Clinic as a cannabis educator shortly after the clinic opened in early 2017. During those early days as an educator Jeananne learned from the doctors and patients, and read everything she could find on the subject, eventually writing her signature full-day workshop “Cannabis Medicine for Herbalists and other people” which has been taught to more than 300 students since November 2017.
Jeananne is excited to work with Dr. Love and the CannU team to bring cannabis education to those seeking to learn.
